koekje

small flat-baked treats,
usually containing fat, flour, eggs and sugar
from peanut butter temptations to winter energy
there are several types of them
– persistent cookies
– temporary cookies
– first-party cookies
– third-party cookies
– unsatisfactory cookies
together with John Giannandrea, Lou Montulli created the initial cookies
the introduction of cookies was not widely known to the public at the time
they spread to Europe through the Muslim conquest of Spain
with global travel becoming widespread, cookies made a natural travel companion
by the 14th century, they were common in all levels of society,
throughout Europe, from royal cuisine to street vendors
in 1996 cookies received a lot of media attention
especially because of potential privacy implications
cookies can be stolen via packet sniffing in an attack called session hijacking
the process of tampering with the value of cookies is called cookie poisoning
like other sweeties, cookies expire
once a cookie is dead everyone is happy
they cut it into pieces and eat it up
a cookie can store personally identifiable information
cold, wet and smaller than its original appearance
a cookie can be stored in everyone’s stomach
just a matter of time before it can be pooped out
everyone has the right
whether to accept cookies
and the time frame to keep them
but rejecting cookies makes some websites unusable.
